At HML we not only strive to look after the properties of our customers, but we also take the safety of our residents very seriously. With recent outbreaks & an escalation of the coronavirus we have compiled a guide for tenants to help minimise their risk of infection.
Symptoms & Prevention
The early symptoms of COVID-19 are typically shortness of breath, a cough and a high temperature. If you have these symptoms you should seek medical attention as soon as possible.
If you see someone with these symptoms, it would be best to avoid contact with them. If you have had contact, you should wash your hands thoroughly with an anti-bacteria hand wash.
To avoid catching or spreading the coronavirus you should follow this advice:
- Wash your hands with an anti-bacteria soap often. You should wash your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds.
- Use hand sanitiser if you do not have access to water and soap.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue if you sneeze or cough.
- Discard used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards.
- Avoid close contact with people who are visibly unwell.
- Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if you have not washed your hands recently.
The NHS has advised that anyone who is suffering with symptoms that could be COVID-19 related, do not go to a GP but instead call 111.
Are you at risk?
With the Coronavirus spreading rapidly across the globe, it has now been confirmed that there are over 100 cases of COVID-19 in the UK. This has led the UK Chief Medical officers to raise the risk to the public from low to moderate.
If you have recently travelled to the UK from a country with a higher risk of coronavirus, you may need to seek medical advice.
These countries include:
Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Iran, Italy, Japan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar (Burma), Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Tenerife – only the H10 Costa Adeje Palace Hotel, Thailand and Vietnam

Your Property Manager is here to help should you have any concerns. If you suspect someone may be infected in your property/have a resident with a confirmed case of the COVID-19 virus then we would recommend that you advise them to self-isolate in their apartment and ensure you follow the above advice after any contact with them.
By letting your Property Manager know, they can instruct a cleaner to come in to have a thorough clean of the internal communal areas of your block and organise a cleaning service that is more regular than usual.
